White Pine County Sheriff’s Office || WEEKEND Blotter Report, November 25th-26th

SATURDAY

REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED PEDESTRIAN

City — officer received a report of an intoxicated person laying in the roadway. The individual was contacted and assisted to a local motel where he was staying.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT

City — Tyson Ashby of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Aultman Street. He stated that a deer entered into the roadway and collided with his vehicle. A report was completed.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

City — reporting party stated that an individual who was staying at a local motel left behind a printer. The reporting party stated that on the printer were counterfeit dollar bills. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF AN ALARM

City — false alarm.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

City — officer contacted the mother and child and reported that they were fine.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM

Reporting party stated that she bought a phone from a company in Las Vegas. The reporting party stated that the phone would not work. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem and to contact the seller of the phone.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT

City — officer contacted the person and reported that no problems were located.

REPORT OF A SHOPLIFTER

City — officer received a report of a person who had stolen some alcohol from a local store. The person was identified and a report will be sent to the District Attorney for review.

REPORT OF A SHOPLIFTER

City — officer received a report of a person who had stolen a food item from a local store. The person was detained and issued a citation for petit larceny.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT

City — reporting party stated that an individual was sending him text messages that were threatening. The person was contacted and advised to stop his contact with the reporting party.

REPORT OF A NOISE DISTURBANCE

City — officer contacted the responsible person and advised her of the complaint.  She stated that her children were jumping around and causing the disturbance.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

City — officer located the vehicle which was parked and unoccupied. No problems were located.

SUNDAY

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City – a deputy stopped a vehicle for a broken tail light.  Contact was made with the driver, identified as 31 year old McGill resident [NAME WITHHELD].  Based on the officers observations, [NAME WITHHELD] was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

REPORT OF A PANHANDLER

City – the area was checked, but the subject wasn’t located.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

The reporting party got into an argument with her adult daughter.  Both parties were separated when officers arrived.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

The reporting party claimed to have seen a young child walking near a highway.  When the officer arrived, he found the child was with her father, who had been trying to get her back to the house.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT

The occupant of a residence was served with a temporary protection order and left the home without incident.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

City – the subject was located and was fine.
