SATURDAY

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST

City — officer assisted an individual who needed transportation from the hospital to a local motel.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM

City — officer received a report of a barking dog. The owner was contacted and advised of the complaint. The owner took the dog into the home for the evening.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

City — officer patrolled the area, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City— officer received a report of several juveniles causing a noise disturbance. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT

City — reporting party stated that while his vehicle was parked and unoccupied it was struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

City — officer contacted the person who had attempted to take his life. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical assistance.

REPORT OF AN ALARM

False alarm.

REPORT OF DOGS AT LARGE

City— the dogs were captured and taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A LANDLORD

City — reporting party stated that his landlord had removed him from the motel room he is renting. The landlord was contacted and advised to follow the eviction process. The reporting party was allowed to move back into his room, due to his rent had been paid up for the week.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT

City — officer contacted the person who was looking for her dog that had gotten out of her yard.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT

City — officer received a report of an individual who needed to be trespassed from a local business. When the officers arrived the person had left the area.

REPORT OF AN AGENCY ASSIST

Officer received a notification of a death that had occurred in Henderson, NV and the next of kin needed to be notified. Officer contacted the next of kin and the notification was completed.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM

City — officer received a report of a dog running at large. The owner of the dog was contacted and advised to keep his dog contained.

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City — officer reported that [NAME WITHHELD] age 31 of Ely was arrested on a White Pine County District Court warrant.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE

Officer contacted the occupant of the home and advise him to remove the garbage that had accumulated in the front of his yard.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE

Officer observed a large amount of garbage that had accumulated in the person’s yard. Officer is attempting to make contact with the occupant of the home and advise him to have it removed.

REPORT OF A THEFT

Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his barn and had stolen several items. Investigation into the theft continues.

REPORT OF A THEFT

City— reporting party stated that someone had stolen her EBT card and was using it at a local business. Officers have identified the person who was using the card and they are attempting to locate her.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT

City — the area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT

City — officer received a report of an individual who needed to be trespassed from a local business. The person was contacted and identified as [NAME WITHHELD] age 36 of Ely. [NAME WITHHELD] was arrested for Ex-felon failure to register.

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City — officer reported that during a traffic stop on a vehicle the operator was identified as [NAME WITHHELD] age 31 of Adelanto, CA. During the officers investigation [NAME WITHHELD] was arrested for DUI and open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City — officer received a report of several juveniles who were trespassing on a person’s property. The area was patrolled, but they were not located.

REPORT OF A SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORT

Officer received a report of two vehicles that had become stuck in the mud on a county roadway leaving the operators stranded. The operators were advised that the Sheriff’s Office could remove them, but there vehicles would have to stay there until the roads were in better conditions. The occupants of the vehicles decided to stay with their vehicles. They were advised to call if they changed their minds.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City — officer received a report of several juveniles climbing on the roof a school. The juveniles were contacted and advised to stay off the roof.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST

City — officer received a report of a child whose foot had become caught in a storm drain. Officer was able to pry the drain apart and remove her foot from the drain.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST

Officer received a report of an individual who was operating a vehicle on a county roadway. Her vehicle had become stuck in the mud and she was now walking to town. NHP arrived on scene and provided her a ride into Ely.

City — the area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.
