White Pine County Sheriff’s Office || Blotter Report, August 13th ’19

REPORT OF A LOST HUNTER

Reporting party stated that her husband is hunting in the Ely area, but she hasn’t heard from him for approximately a week. Search and Rescue was called out and are actively searching for the individual.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

City — officer contacted the person and reported that she was fine.

REPORT OF A FOUND ITEM

City — officer reported that the found debit card was returned to the owner.

REPORT OF A FOUND ITEM

City — reporting party found a driver’s license. The license was placed into lost and found.

REPORT PF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT

City — reporting party stated that she had quite her employment and wanted to return her key to the owner. The owner was demanding other items from her. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem and to return the key and disregard the other requests.

REPORT OF STUCK MOTORIST

Officer received a report of a vehicle that had become stuck in a ditch. Officer assisted the operator by jacking up the vehicle to remove it from the ditch. The officer was able to successfully get the vehicle unstuck.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT

City — reporting party stated that an ex-employee was harassing her, wanting her last pay check. The reporting party was advised to notify the person when the check would be ready and to contact the Sheriff’s Office if there were further problems.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM

City — reporting party stated that she recently broke up with her girlfriend and that her girlfriend wouldn’t give her, her phone back. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem due to the phone being bought while they were together.

REPORT OF A CHILD CUSTODY PROBLEM

City — officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over child custody. They were advised to go through the proper court hearings to obtain a custody order.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE DISTURBANCE

Reporting party stated that he observed a large group of people gathering in an area. Officer patrolled the area, but no problems were located.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE

City— officer contacted several juveniles who were playing in the area. They were advised to keep the peace.
