This beautiful modern facility is located in Ely next to the high school campus. The entrance is located off of Highway 6 near McDonalds. This indoor facility offers a shallow wading pool for younger children, and a large Olympic sized pool. The large pool has two awesome climbing walls for the rock climber in you. You will find locker rooms, showers, and a banquet room as well. The pool schedule offers something for everyone. If being outdoors in the sunshine is what you are looking for, then head to McGill Pool. While this doesn’t fall under the things to do in Ely category, it’s only a short 15 minute drive north.This little gem is part of the heart and soul of the community. This freshwater spring fed pool is has beautiful crystal blue water and sandy beaches. There are two water slides and a mid-level diving board. Kids can have fun catching crawdads and guppies; while adults sunbathe in the lounge chairs provided.
The pool also has a great large grass covered park with picnic tables and BBQ’s. Be sure to reserve a spot for special events.
Certified life jackets are available at both facilities for people of all ages, and lifeguards are on duty. These facilities are well-managed, safe, family friendly environments.
